Language classes for primary schools
Following our success within the nursery environment,
we have decided to offer our services to local
schools. We have had excellent feedback from
both staff and parents and we thought it would
be great to continue to work with the children
through their primary education. As a foreign
language is set to become a part of the curriculum
in 2009, we believe we can offer a helpful solution
to schools wishing to incorporate a language
into an already hectic schedule.
Solution One-
One of our tutors can conduct an hour session
per week in each classroom for you. This would
include all the planning and resources and so
may help your teachers to get some of their
non-teaching time. As with the nurseries, we
will use interactive games, songs, worksheets
and role-play to make learning fun for the children.
Each lesson will be pitched according to the
age and ability of the class and we are always
interested in your feedback and suggestions.
We can be flexible with times to fit in with
your week.
Price- £30 per hour (This includes free
subscription to our website resource section
so you can reinforce learning with the children
and provide information to the parents on what
their children are learning about. A discount
may be offered for multiple hours in a school)
Solution two-
We can offer a refresher course in French/Spanish
for your teachers so they can incorporate a
language into the school day as and when they
can fit it in. This could be done as an after
school course or can be conducted on an in-service
day. Again we can be flexible to suit your needs.
The course will include lesson plans, ideas
and how to make resources. We can also offer
you a monthly subscription to our resources
section on this website, which is updated on
a regular basis with worksheets, resources and
ideas to help you teach the language of your
choice.
Price of course- £200 for an eight-hour
course
Monthly subscription- £10 per month
Solution three-
Perhaps you already have a teacher within your
school that speaks a modern language. If so
you may simply need help with resources and
ideas on how to teach a language. Why not subscribe
to our website resource section, where you can
print off worksheets, colouring pages, lesson
plans and resources, which have been collated
specifically, to help teach languages and are
used by our very own tutors. |
