Language classes for nurseries
At Terranova Tutors we believe that learning
a language at an early age can be fun, rewarding
and offer an excellent base in a language which
will help the children later in their academic
lives. We specialise in French and Spanish tutoring
and use pictures, books and interactive games
to make the lessons fun for the children.
We generally begin with the topic ‘ourselves’
where the children will learn how to say their
names, ages and learn all about the family in
French or Spanish. This topic spans four weeks
and they will also learn about body parts. They
will sing ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees and
Toes and play interactive Velcro games.
Some nurseries choose to combine their language
lessons with a monthly theme and we are happy
to fit in with this. Topics we have covered
so far include: colours, shapes, the seasons,
food, clothes, toys and many more. We are always
happy to hear your feedback so we can create
the best teaching plans to suit your ethos.
We can offer ongoing vocabulary and information
for the parents to keep them up to date and
give them a chance to work together with their
children on learning a new language. We have
had excellent feedback from the parents and
staff and their support has helped the children
progress.
Price- £30 per hour
Class arrangement- We have found that splitting
the children into two groups and doing two thirty-minute
sessions has worked well. However, we are flexible
with this and will be happy to discuss it with
you so we can fit in with your nursery size
and space.
